I am looking for a pattern that is crochet with elastic yarn or thread if I can find it, but made these years ago with beads on and they stretch onto the jar or bottle, so please if anyone knows where I can find pattern would greatly appreciate.

I remember making these too. I remember sitting there and stringing all the beads on the elastic thread. I used a small piece of beading wire to create the needle to thread the beads. The bottom was a basic circle that started with chain 2 then 6 sgl cr in the 1st loop, close round with slip stitch in top of 1st sgl cr. Chain 3, dbl cr chain 1 in each of the 6 sgl crochet. Then I think I did 2 dbl cr in the ch1 space chain 1. Then I think it was 2 dbl cr in the chain 1 space chain2. I worked like this to make the flat circle the size required for the bottle. Then I made the foundation round for working up the bottle. I made the 1st round as sgl crochet, then the 2nd round as 1/2 dbl cr. At this point I started work the lacework up the side of the bottle. This was also when I started to work the beads into my stitches. The first round was chain 1, slip bead to needle, chain 2, slip bead to needle, chain 1, skip 2 stitch and sgl cr in next stitch. After that round was established I continued with the chains and beads, but sgl cr in chain 4 loop. When I got to the top of the bottle I did 3 rounds of 1/2 dbl crochet. I never had a pattern, I just started playing around with it and liked what I saw when done. I made a few of these to fit around glass votive candle holders to decorate them as gifts for my hairdresser one year.

I bought elastic thread in black at Joann Fabrics last summer for a kids craft project at the campground I was working at last summer. They had black, white, silver, and gold at that store.
