I was overwhelmed with the variety and quantity of dyed wool and yarns at the Kentucky Sheep & Fiber Exhibition this weekend. Just happened to be in Lexington today and had to go when I saw the signs. Wanted to buy two of everything. Got a chance to try a weaving loom and watched several experienced women spooling yarn from dyed merino wool, alpaca, bison, bamboo and so much more. Saw so many beautiful knit shawls, vests, etc. as well as several clothing items made by felting.

Hope everyone has a chance to visit an exhibit like the one held here in KY.

The Maryland Sheep and Wool festival is held here the first weekend in May. I try never to miss. This year I found some beautiful alpaca, reasonable price. I also found a wool and bamboo blend which was just beautiful. Then there was the sock that rock yarn, and even a club for sock knitters. The fiber festival are wonderful.
