Knit into the last stitch, put the loop you pulled through onto the left needle, then knit into that loop and put that stitch onto the needle until you have as many as you need.

you could take the second last stitch and do a knit front back/ you could do an e cast on(reverse cast on you could do a m1 between the last two stitches of the row
