Wow! You got great results. I have been frustrated by this pattern and, while I'm not an expert knitter, I've made lots of hats, baby sweaters, scarfs, etc. and know how to do the techniques called for in the pattern. But I had a terrible time with it, especially the bottom. I could not pick up stitches at the corners to my satisfaction. I kept getting odd gaps and holes at those points. I thought is was the problem of trying to make a square bottom morph into a circular form, but clearly I'm doing something wrong. I've ripped back a few times and tried over, but still haven't cracked the code. Do you have a secret?
debs120254, Trying to teach yourself to knit? Sweety, you ARE knitting and let me say a VERY good job it. I have been knitting for about 8 years and have not yet done that well. You must be so proud! Wow, it's really pretty.
