Thanks so much for the larger pattern. I notice a few differences, but it will be easy to add the YO/k2tog! I think I also noticed that you were kind enough to send me the links to the darling patterns in your avatar ... but it's past midnight and I really need to get to sleep ... work tomorrow. I made the sweater using 2 different color yarns together. I made it bigger this way, and I love how the colors look, I had some simple soft that I had pulled back of another project, there are, 8 different colors of yarn and OH how they look in this pattern, as soon AS I master the art of getting pictures up loaded to this site I will show it. LOL, 72 and still learning

Hi bugsmom! So glad I was able to find you. I loved your sweater, so downloaded the directions. I'm a new knitter, and this is my 2nd project. But I've run into a problem. I finished the yoke-just finished Row 31. The next row has me crazy! I understand the beg. up to the poiunt of putting the first(front)sts on the holder. Have no idea what to do next. It says to cast on 2 sts(any particular cast on?), then acr. the next 29 sts. But, there are only 27 sts between the next 2 markers. And then they say to cast on another 2 sts after knitting the 29. Then it says to use another set of needles????and work the 31 sts in stockinette st? Did they get the number 29 wrong? Should it be 27? I don't get how to use a second set of needles! Those 31 sts are on one needle already...Hope you can help. I sent out a msg under the Main Forum, but then decided to look for you. Good thing I printed the pic of your sweater when you posted it! If you don't have time to help, that's ok...Just thought you'd be the person to know what the answer is.....Ali

This looks like an adaptation of the 5 Hour Baby Sweater. It looks just like it, only changed the lace. Very nice work!

this will fit a newborn if you use a slightly smaller needle size and baby weight yarn will be perfect.
