While on vacation years ago, I found "No Idle Hands: The Social History of American Knitting," by Anne L. Macdonald for $1.00. It's an outstanding book about knitting having an important part of American social history! Did you know knitting was taught to wounded WWI soldiers as part of their physical therapy? I didn't! As a sociology-history-knitting lover, I've been searching for more knitting-history books similar to "No Idle Hands," and looks like I found one! I'm going to Amazon.com right now and order this book! Thanks! Any more suggestions on knitting-history books???
