I've been knitting for many years and still love the look and feel of yarn. I can just sit and fondle my yarn and be amazed at the various colors and textures that yarn comes in.
Sometimes it takes awhile for the yarn to tell me what it wants to be and sometimes I know right away. And some times we are both wrong and it turns into something else.
I knit for myself and my family and friends.
When I teach a class the sample goes in the gift closet and someone will get a perfectly good item that I didn't knit just for them. The family knows where the closet is and sometime looks just to make sure I haven't knitted something that they want and I didn't know it.
