Don't think I've ever heard of the brand ... where do you buy it and is it online ? (Gotta like anything that's soft and pretty !) (O)
I purched the Crock O Dye yarn at my local yarn shop.
However you can go to Knit One Crochet too site and they
have it available there. I just finished a pair of socks with
the grey tones and now am going to start a pair with shades
of purple to lavender. They don't knit in a stripe but a pretty
varigated pattern.

I have not used this yarn for socks, but did use it to make a slouchy newsboy type hat for my daughter. It has worn pretty well, she wears it a lot, it is thrown around and washed all the time. I would be interested to know how it holds up when you are walking on it all day, it is really soft and knits up nicely.
