Thank you for the new week ladies very much appreciated.
just got home after foray to the gift store and couldn’t resist buying this hanging arrangement for the front door.
‘At present it’s inside but will move it on Christmas morning.
‘Also here is my latest and possibly last knitting for the store for awhile.
‘We left the store and went and had coffee and yummy cheesecake for morning tea. Tried a new place and it was really nice.
Wont need lunch for awhile after that large slice. View attachment 1267370 View attachment 1267371

I’m late joining in this evening but at least I’m here, lol!
Thank you ladies for another week, yikes they sure are flying by.
Ventured out later this morning to buy a couple of little things for Christmas decorating. The weekend is supposed to be snowing, which will make traffic a nightmare. I’m staying inside and won’t be going out until Monday. I’ve been invited to a lunch at a neighbours, we will be celebrating 3 November birthdays. Plans may change as Rose’s uncle passed away and she has invited a couple to stay overnight, so that they can attended the funeral on Tuesday. She will let us know on Sunday if she has to postpone.
Then Tuesday off to another luncheon with a group of ladies that most I haven’t met. Hopefully they are all lovely woman, at least I know 2 of my neighbours are going and I’m going to offer to drive. This way I can be excused from drinking a glass of wine as I’d be the designated driver, lol! I’m not fussy on wine at noon as it does make me sleepy sometimes, lol!
I’ll try to remember to take a photo of 3 little Christmas balls I bought. They’re clear glass with white pine trees and a deer inside, plus they are battery operated which blows the snow around inside. Oh I just HAD to buy these, lol! Just hope they work!

You are right, it is a lot of work, and it will definitely be treasured! I can only work on it in good lighting. I was finally smart. I took what I had finished of the cabin, and the graph/chart that I had taken to the library and had enlarged, to the eye doctor when I had my exam in October. I told her that that and knitting on fine yarn to make socks was what I did most. And that I have a really hard time reading the charts. So she tested me to see what strength readers I need just for doing the bead work! They work great! I wear contacts for distance, and can't use the multi-focal because they don't make the strengths I need together, it's either one or the other. The readers I use for everything else are a+2.50, and the ones for beading are +3.0, and even better, she sent me to the store next door that sells them for $1! I did get a pair there, but also went to Walmart and got a better pair for $5. I'm not having the chart scrambling for me as much. Before it was all jumbled and scrambled. Now at least I can use post it notes to mark each row, and not always have to use 2 to isolate the row I am working on. There are so many pages to this pattern that I printed just the charts and took them to be enlarged as much as possible, and I am using the Adobe .pdf program on my Kindle Fire to use the rest of the pattern for all of the steps and pictures of each step. It makes it so much easier! And it doesn't use all that paper and ink!
WOW! That’s a lot prep work but I can totally understand why. Now I’m wondering how many people even attempt to undertake such a project. I know for sure I wouldn’t have the patience.

Seems to me I remember that Hersey makes a dark chocolate Kiss??? I don't like milk chocolate. I could add some mini dark chips as I make them??? Guess what I need to bake.
Guess I’m the odd one out as I really don’t like chocolate chip cookies of any type. I believe it’s those horrible ugly tasting chocolate bits/chips they use. They are artificial chocolate, not real chocolate and taste horrible to me, lol! I’ve even had people upset with me, as I wouldn’t even try their homemade chocolate cookies. 🙄😁.

The video with the boys singing was a hoot, but boy they're good.
I'm all caught up, had a great day, and the weather wasn't bad, cool but not bad.
Thank you K&M for the new week, greatly appreciated, early or late, doesn't matter, whenever you get us started is good with me.

I'm off to bed, syt.
I watched the 2 young boys late last night and “yes” they were amazing.
Totally agree with what you said to K&M, doesn’t matter when they start the new week, just thankful they take this time to do it. A “Big Thank You to All who start the New TP weekly.” 🥳😁👍🥰

Good evening and thank you Margaret and Kate for the new tea party. Sick of being sick, but have not gone to doctor. There is not much treatment for a virus and no sign of anything bacterial like bronchitis. I think it’s just tough it out and stay isolated.
DD keeps me supplied with kleenex, orange juice, lemons and soups. She leaves things outside my back door. We definitely have snow and temps are down, but not below 0 F yet. I’m staying inside for now. Drinking a lot of tea with lemon and honey.
You are doing everything right. 🥰🥰. Sending virtual HUGS for a speedy recovery. 🥰🥰

it’s still $4,59 here. I’m wondering why…it seems other areas have cheaper gas. Even some of the smaller towns around here do.
It’s called gouging! Can you drive to other area’s to buy your gas. I always try to buy whenever I’m near Costco as they are cheaper there for me. If I go to the gasoline stations in my neighborhood, they are between 10 & 15 cents a litre more expensive.

I thought you would like to see my other two Singer sewing machines. My son Bobby gave me the other two besides giving me the other one he brought when he moved here from Memphis. He bought the other two when he was upholstered his station wagon 1960, so he gave them to me. I'm having fun with them. I really like using those old machines. He gave me those machines at a good time because my other two sewing machines needed to go to the sewing machine hospital, lol. I put different colored thread in each machine, and I just switch machines when I need to sew that color. The middle sewing machine has a new fast motor on it and I have to use a light foot on it or it will fly off the table, lol. Two of them don't reverse stitch and it only has one stitch length. There is a knob that supposed to change the stitch length, but it doesn't work but I really don't care about that.
Wow they are amazing, thanks for posting. Sure bought back many memories of seeing and sometimes even using these OLD Singer machines.
My Mother had a very old one but it was on a really fancy stand, it was beautiful. There was a large platform where you would use your feet to treadle to make the machine work. It wasn’t electric. 🙄😁 It was the machine that I learnt to sew on as a Very young child. I made dolls cloths and slowly graduated to making clothes for myself, until I was a teenager, about 17 - I made myself a beautiful cashmere coat. Would love to still have that, it was what we called a “Swing-back” style. WOW, now you know how old I am, lol!

Is your surgery next month or just the prep visits? Hopefully the surgery will be successful. An important part of that being the case is following what you are told- and that will mean no housework, a good ground on which to get some help into the house as if you start too soon you dramatically increase the likelihood that the surgery won't work. And yes shoulder shoulder does take a long time to recover so be prepared for a long recovery period. While there is no guarantee that it will work even if you do everything as you are advised there little chance of success if you aren't able to stop things that you are told not to do.
I do hope Strawberry4U listens to her doctors and us, If she doesn’t and starts doing what she shouldn’t be doing, then she’s only going to make things a LOT worse. Harsh of me to say, but she’s GOT to be firm and listen to those who are trying to help her. No sense in having the surgery if she doesn’t.

I do wish her well and hope the surgery is a success and eases the pain. The rest is up to her. 🥰🥰👍👍

If they don't pay the deductible I would take them to small claims court. I expect that that would make them do it.
Thank you for the cookie reciipe JoRae. I think it will be cookies today for tomorrow's dessert.
Thanks also for the apple dessert. So good to have tried and true recipes.
Might be an idea to take them to small claims court, I didn’t think of that. Good point!
Also think it’s mean of the insurance company to take away , oh darn now I can’t remember what the insurance company will take away from Bonnie’s husband. Anyway, Insurance companies are scammers, we pay to be protected but once you put in a claim they are no help. Just another company gouging the good people.
Time to have something to eat as my brain isn’t working like it should,,lol!

I am hoping you will have very good success with your shoulder repair. Both of my sisters had this, one with the need of a graft as well and they were back to work in about 2 months. Both are doing very well now with minimal pain. I am hoping that yours will go as well. They are both over the age of 73 so age should not be a problem.
This should be very encouraging news for Strawberry4U. 👍👍

Went to the basement and bought a few more Christmas decorations up to try them in different area’s than where I had the few last year Placed. I see one of my neighbours already has her christmas urn decorated and outside on her front porch area.
I looked at a few places when I was out, the extra large ones that I would need are $200.00 each, I would need 2. 😳😳. The smaller ones would be way too small for my containers which are now in the garage.
I didn’t even buy flowers to go in them this past summer, plus I’d never be able to lift them in and out of the tall black containers. Saddens me but reality is reality. This will be the 1st time since Carols passing that I’m really bringing all the Christmas stuff (lol!) upstairs to decorate. Hopefully, I will also invite a few of the neighbours over for wine and cheese. Will see how I feel in a couple of weeks first, as I don’t want to invite anyone then regret it. I like to do things like that on the spur of the moment, that way I don’t become a basket case of nerves, lol! Silly I know and a good excuse for enjoying Christmas alone with my wonderful memories. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Catching up and having a second cuppa. Waiting for 'the gang' to get up. It's just on 7 a.m. now. I've put away all the clean dishes from the diswasher, boiled the tea kettle, had my fosomex and now a slice of toast with tea. Must wait that 1/2 hour between taking it and eating or drinking anything else. Time passes quickly in the quiet and peace of the early morning hour and I guess I can be glad none of Fan's Tomkens can be here causing funny stuff to go on. Had a lovely afternoon and evening, watched a new movie streaming on Netflix, "The Wonder". When someone else watches it, we can compare notes. I will make no spoilers here.
They'll all be up wanting a walk and then breakfast, so I shall close for now. Have wonderful days/evenings all.
And, Fan, get that strong lock made for the door!!
I watched “The Wonder” also 1899. No spoilers from me also. 😁👍

As promised yesterday by me. I’m sorry I didn’t take a photo at least a week ago as the blooms were beautiful. Not nearly as large as most of yours but certainly brings me joy every morning when I walk into the kitchen. 🥰🥰😁👍
I’ve also placed 2 of the new Christmas tree balls in front of the Cactus, guess I should’ve turned their lights on, oh well never mind. 😁👍

These are all really beautiful Fan and thanks for posting.
I must say thank you again for posting the 1st photo, (I think it’s in the 1st photo). Yesterday I found a couple of adapters for using my hairdryer in New Zealander and Australia. It is dual voltage, but when I found the little adapters I was doubting they were the correct ones, lol! They are, now I have put them into my suitcase ready for my next trip and hopefully won’t be looking everywhere for them when that time comes. 😳🙄😁👍

Edit: For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, it is the 1st photo and there is a plug on the wall and that’s how I realized that my adapters will fit into the NZ & Aussie plugs, lol! 🙄🙄😁👍
