There are only a few places that do this in Lloydminster & the other is the Chev dealer so much higher pricedSo they are expecting him to remove a car that was damaged under their care with no warning? Sounds like a good way to discourage new clients. If he spreads the word it won't be long before others hear and it impacts on them. Or is the only place relatively nearby?
I hope this surgery goes well & fixes the problemYesterday, I had my pool therapy. I started back last week. Today I spent a good portion of the morning getting everything to do with my upcoming surgery set up. Yes, my surgeon for my shoulder is going to scrap and smooth out the arthritis he told me that it doesn't mean it won't come back and I have an extreme tear in my Rotar cuff he will have to repair and any other problems he comes up against. He knows I don't want a total shoulder replacement. I just don't have good luck with surgeries. My PT guy told me it is not an easy recovery it will take me 1 1/2 to 2 years to get over. That scares me I'll be 78 before I get over it, yikes. I have an appointment to see my provider Dec. 2nd. I'm suppose to have all my pre-op x-rays EKG and blood work that day. I do hope that happens but when it comes to the Base and how things get all Mucked up is the norm so we shall see. That is what is going on. Take care dear ones. Love to you all.
I think so! I didn't even have the cabin part finished and DH told me to order the rest of the patterns to complete the train! And of course when I went looking for the locomotive to link it, I had to start looking at all of the other Christmas patterns. I put some on my wish list, but haven't bought them yet..... I will post pictures as I finish each car. That train will be pretty spectacular when done
You are right, it is a lot of work, and it will definitely be treasured! I can only work on it in good lighting. I was finally smart. I took what I had finished of the cabin, and the graph/chart that I had taken to the library and had enlarged, to the eye doctor when I had my exam in October. I told her that that and knitting on fine yarn to make socks was what I did most. And that I have a really hard time reading the charts. So she tested me to see what strength readers I need just for doing the bead work! They work great! I wear contacts for distance, and can't use the multi-focal because they don't make the strengths I need together, it's either one or the other. The readers I use for everything else are a+2.50, and the ones for beading are +3.0, and even better, she sent me to the store next door that sells them for $1! I did get a pair there, but also went to Walmart and got a better pair for $5. I'm not having the chart scrambling for me as much. Before it was all jumbled and scrambled. Now at least I can use post it notes to mark each row, and not always have to use 2 to isolate the row I am working on. There are so many pages to this pattern that I printed just the charts and took them to be enlarged as much as possible, and I am using the Adobe .pdf program on my Kindle Fire to use the rest of the pattern for all of the steps and pictures of each step. It makes it so much easier! And it doesn't use all that paper and ink!Tami, the beaded train you are making is amazing. A lot of work but it will be treasured for sure.
You’re a woman after my own heart, saw some pretty cool things inthe store today which you would love.I’m late joining in this evening but at least I’m here, lol!
Thank you ladies for another week, yikes they sure are flying by.
Ventured out later this morning to buy a couple of little things for Christmas decorating. The weekend is supposed to be snowing, which will make traffic a nightmare. I’m staying inside and won’t be going out until Monday. I’ve been invited to a lunch at a neighbours, we will be celebrating 3 November birthdays. Plans may change as Rose’s uncle passed away and she has invited a couple to stay overnight, so that they can attended the funeral on Tuesday. She will let us know on Sunday if she has to postpone.
Then Tuesday off to another luncheon with a group of ladies that most I haven’t met. Hopefully they are all lovely woman, at least I know 2 of my neighbours are going and I’m going to offer to drive. This way I can be excused from drinking a glass of wine as I’d be the designated driver, lol! I’m not fussy on wine at noon as it does make me sleepy sometimes, lol!
I’ll try to remember to take a photo of 3 little Christmas balls I bought. They’re clear glass with white pine trees and a deer inside, plus they are battery operated which blows the snow around inside. Oh I just HAD to buy these, lol! Just hope they work!

Yes, he will definitely love the train! He just plain loves trains! I am hoping to get it finished in time for Christmas for him. That's a great deal for dinner.
That's gorgeous, he will love the train.
And they are dangerous to repair because of the residual gas fumes that can ignite. A house up the road from us, before we bought this house, went up in flames because the owner was working on a gas tank in the attached garage and it caught fire. DBIL knew the family that owned it at the time. It's a white brick house. It did a lot of damage to the inside, and smoke damage to the outside of the brick, but now you would never know it happened. This was over 30 years ago, before we moved here.Gas tanks are expensive, and not an easy repair.
It is definitely challenging me! But I am enjoying it. I probably won't ever make another, but I know DH will love it, so it's worth it, and good for me to stretch my brain with it.Wow, That is going to be a great train. It is so cute. I love trains but I don't know if I could tackle that.
Keeping you in prayer. I know it's not what you want, and a long recovery, but if you do your PT faithfully and DON'T do any housework until you are cleared for each thing, you will feel so much better after you are healed.Yesterday, I had my pool therapy. Thankyou ladies once again. Another wet day here today... it is just starting to fine up a bit mid afternoon, but more forecast tonight if it happens. Well DD and both girls have just tested positive for covid (again they had it in Feb) , and I had Penelope here yesterday for a few hours... at least we were mainly outside though as it was a nice day so fingers crossed I don't get it too. So far Penelope has no symptoms, Serena a slight runny nose and DD has the bad headache... which is why tested in the first place.Knitting Tea Party, Friday 18th November, 2022
I seem to be getting earlier and earlier posting the new week, but I’m always afraid as the night goes on that I’ll forget altogether! So here we are early as usual - and to be honest “early” is not usually my “usual”, I’m more inclined the opposite!
Summary of Friday 11th November, 2022 by Darowil
The summary and following lists are a summary of last week's Tea Party and are of more value to the regulars here unable to keep up with all the chatter than to newbies - who are very welcome to join us at any time just by speaking up and making yourself known. All the pages etc refer to last week’s Tea Party Knitting Tea Party, Friday 11th November, 2022
A lot more pages this week than we have had for a while but mainly general chit-chat this week.
Kate has been referred for an endoscopy although the nausea has now gone. 🤞🏻
Flyty1n had a MRI this week to work out what is wrong with her leg - no wonder she has had pain as she has a break and a meniscal tear. Fracture is well aligned and only a small tear so no treatment other than Tylenol/paracetamol and walking only as tolerable without too much pain.
Machristie came back from her weekend away unwell - and remains unwell.
Jazzy has been looking after her grandson this week and so has been around very little. Now back home.
Poledra has finally done the last of her farm work - and tells us she is not going to do it next year!
Grandies are growing up quickly with one reaching double figures, twins reaching two and two young ones becoming mobile - Matthias especially. Some weeks just seem to make the KP grandies growing up show up so clearly.

Seems to me I remember that Hersey makes a dark chocolate Kiss??? I don't like milk chocolate. I could add some mini dark chips as I make them??? Guess what I need to bake.YUM!!
Wow, Tami! That beaded train is an ambitious project. Is it going to be one car a year? So pretty!!!Thank you Kate and Margaret! You are so appreciated. I was a little late to exercise this morning. DH took the truck over to the club house for coffee, and got back here at 9, thinking he was on time, except I was supposed to be there at 9 and Gale usually starts a few minutes early! That's ok, I still got my work out! Then beading. I finally have the boiler finished for the Christmas train ornament I am making DH. That's 2 pieces out of I don't remember how many that get put together to make the whole locomotive. I may have posted the link for you before, but I don't remember. Right now I have just the locomotive started, but I do have the patterns for the rest of the train. Christmas Train Ornament Pattern Part 1 The Train Engine Bead Pattern By ThreadABead
Jeanne called me this morning and said to check the mail. They had coupons to a restaurant we haven't been to before that had 2 hamburgers, fries and drink (non-alcoholic) for $15. So we went and tried it. The burgers were good, fries were crisp but not over done. A good meal. And we checked out the menu while we were waiting for our food, and have decided it's worth going back to. The prices were competitive with most other places. We are back home with the electric heaters going and I have a heat pack on my feet on the footstool with a blanket over my lap. The sky is clear, the air is crisp and it's 44F at 8p. Brr! And I think DH is napping in his chair with the RV on. This getting dark so early is the pits! I'm even ready for bed this early tonight!
Back to the top to catch up and send the summary to Joy and Kathy.
$3.85 here yesterday and going up.Can any of you carpool and take turns driving? That would limit the amount of gas used by any one person.
Gas in Cheyenne today was only $3.25/gal, so glad that it's coming down.

Thank you I really appreciate it. I hope it will help because this pain is horrible. I use Zoltaran, all types of pain patches so if he can lessen it even a little, I'll be happy. We will all be with you as you undergo this surgery and I know prayers will sent for your recovery.
‘Hopefully nothing will go wrong this time and things will improve greatly for you. Hugs.
it was such a fun listen! Gorgeous voices! That was delightful Joyce! You are so right in that the boys have wonderful voices but oh so funny.
wow that’s dirty lowdown. You would think it was their responsibility to fix it but they waited until he paid, then told him so he didn’t have any leverage on them. You would think they would have insurance for this but apparently not
I hope they all recover quickly and with no more symptoms than they currently have, and that you stay totally symptom free and no covid.Thankyou ladies once again. Bonnie.... I posted at the end of last week to note that the pattern says to use black for penguin feet but I did use yellow. Edit... also I used white where the pattern said cream.
