I agree! Such beautiful work and so much patience to work with such fine thread!! May I ask a question of those of you who have crocheted/knitted edgings for linens, etc.? I have been asked to crochet edges around several baby receiving blankets and I am concerned about the lace shrinking when the blankets are washed. Is this an issue?? The blankets have not been washed so do you think I should put the edging on before I do that and hopefully the shrinkage will be about the same? I thought about knitting a big swatch, washing and drying it and then working the edging on the blankets. What do you ladies think?? Is there a better way?
