I am trying lace knitting and it calls for lace knitting yarn. Does anyone know any good lace knitting yarns to buy and maybe also where to buy them.

Thank you

JaggerSpun Zephyr (50/50 Merino/Silk) is a joy to knit and luxurious to wear. It's a nice heavyish lace weight, and it blocks just beautiful! Webs has it for around $20 per 4 oz (1,260 yards), which is enough to do some of Evelyn Clark's lace shawl patterns.

I also really like KnitPick's Shadow lace which is a heathered merino. This yarn is also on the heavyish side of lace. It knits easy (just hugs the needles!) and at $2.99 for 440 yards, a great value. Especially if your eyes are bigger than your wallet, like mine. You can buy enough for as big a lace project as you want to tackle, and not feel guilty (well, not too guilty). Also, they have free and 1.99 downloadable patterns for lace and other kinds of knitting.

Another great place for lace yarn is ColourMart in the UK (http://www.colourmart.com/) - the only place to get affordable cashmere and cashmere blend yarns. I like their's better than Jojoland (which is too soft).

Thank you so much to everyone. I just wasn't sure because I have tried a few and didn't like them. I hate to spend money on yarn I do not like so not only did you help me but also help me save money.

Thanks again to everyone.
