I agree with the ravelry suggestion. They tell you the experience level, there is a picture, you can even search by yardage if you have already purchased your wool.

I highly recommend Dee O'Keefe's Ashton. It was my first shawl. It is a shawlette that you can make bigger.

Has anyone on this site knitted the waterfall top by designer 12345? I need to know how to knit the 1st 5 rows in a written pattern. I would like to knit it by BKM or HN, for Christmas of 2012. Thanks in advance for any help. I am planning to follow along on the Jan 2013 workshop....Jo from MO
