I hope it's okay to post this here, everyone on here has been so supportive and helpful I thought it might be ok. If not, then I apologize.
Earlier this year my younger sister was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at age 27. She had been sick for almost a year before being diagnosed and had a new baby (she started getting sick in her last trimester but the doctors kept misdiagnosing her). Fortunately the chemo worked and as of the end of June she has been in remission and finally able to enjoy life again and be a new mom. She is healthy again but the next 5 years are crucial as the cancer can return. We just have to hope that she beat it this time!
This October we are walking with her in the Light The Night Walk - The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer.
