Hello everyone on this site!

I know that I haven't been on this site for a while. I have been busy knitting a lot of things for my family. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

My 3rd son is expecting their third child due in September. NONE of us know what the sex of the baby is. (now the parents can know how it feels from our time when even the doctors couldn't tell us) I have made a pink layette set, now I am thinking of knitting a sailor suit for a newborn boy.

I do not posses a credit card, nor do I use pay-pal. If you know of a free site that has some knitting patterns for a sailor suit for a baby boy, could you please post it, or PM me?

Thanks,

Angie
addicted to knitting.

P.S. this will be my 8th grandchild.

Bernat has a nice sweater. You have to become a member, but it's free. Called a Middy jacket.

Ravelry has several: Sailor cardigan slipover, Sailor set pullover, Sailor set pants, Baby Boy Knit Middy shirt,Captain Small Sailor pants, Child's knitted sailor hat.

You will have to register with Ravelry, but it's free and their pattern search is amazing.

I have knitted the Bernat jacket and the Middy shirt.

Hope this helps. Have fun.

Perhaps you can guess that my son is in the navy, so I researched a lot of patterns. Baby was born 2 months ago. I couldn't find the pattern for the middy shirt on the wayback machine, but I had made a copy when it was still on Crystal Yarns. Don't think I can share it due to copyright restrictions.

Please try the Yarn Lovers or Purple Kitty website, which has free patterns you can print at the public library, should you not have a printer at home. This website has lots of vintage children's patterns, and the sailor suit was very popular a few decades ago.
Please post a picture of the suit when you finish it. Congratulations on your having so many grandchildren!
