I am looking for a bed jacket pattern in all sizes........including plus sizes.....either knitted or crocheted. I have found one that is crocheted and it turned out very nice, but was a little too "holy"........you know, full of holes.......to be really warm. It seems that they are hard to find in the larger sizes, but they are wonderful for people in nursing homes, hospitals and chemo patients. I've seen a lot of the vintage patterns, but large in those patterns seems to be like 14-16.
Can anyone help?

I see you haven't really had a response so I'll try to help.
First Google for a "knit OR crochet bed jacket pattern".
Then look at some of the more popular yarn manufacturer sites or Ravelry. You will have to look through the patterns, but all have some larger sizes. Lion Brand has a few that go up to at least 60 and some a little larger.

Crystal Palace Yarns: http://www.straw.com/cpy/free_patterns.html
Another wonderful site is Ravelry. You have to set up an account (free) but there are free patterns of all kinds on Ravelry. When you do a pattern search on Ravelry, you can limit it to free patterns. You can choose knit, crochet or both. This is the Ravelry home page: http://www.ravelry.com/
The pattern search page is here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#sort=best
You want to set up accounts at Lion Brand and Ravelry for certain. Any other yarn manufacturer site that requires it, set one up because you will be rewarded with access to many patterns of all kinds. All of them are free and they don't spam you unless you ask. They have newsletters you can choose to receive and if you knit or crochet, they are helpful. I subscribe to several newsletters and look forward to seeing new patterns as they are added.
Another site with a lot of patterns, free and 1.99 down-loads is: http://www.knitpicks.com/knitting.cfm

If you put bed jacket into the serch box above it brings up a nice rust jacket which could be of use to you
