Hi my name is Beryl and have been busy knitting coats
The reason for this request is because the coat I next want to knit is from
a pattern quite a few years old hence the reason for knitting another
My daughter still wears this coat knitted I. Patons mohair focus colour
Black 26 balls x 25g
I know I have knitted mohair from a cone because some years back
this type was weighed from the cone
I don't really worry about colour as I would like black grey fawn etc
but if unlucky will resort to knit a cardigan
At present have plenty of knitting in the pipeline but still would like to
have some mohair ready for next Christmas
Kind regards Beryl from Plymouth Devon

I have just purchased mohair from eBay on a cone although I wanted
to knit a coat which would have been 650 gm I have bought the 450gm
the largest amount I could find in one colour so will settle to make
a cardigan
I will still go on looking as I want another mohair coat
Thankyou for your help

Oh my! I had forgotten about mohair coats. Years ago I made a full-length black mohair coat, lined, and it was gorgeous. I had a gay friend whose friend did female impersonations and he was always trying to run off with my coat!!!

My daughter wears the one I knitted on special occasions as she
said it was too dressy but with the bitter cold weather only wish
she would wear it more
I am glad that I went on eBay and boughtb 450gm 80 percent mohair
for £13.50 free postage so will make a cardigan for now
I am in the midst of making two cardigans plus a long coat in super soft
aran so still plenty to do
