I am looking for a pattern for a knit market-type bag. One that would be strong enough to hold several bath-size towels or one that I could adapt to fit that many. Similar to a laundry bag that could be used to carry back and forth from the laundramat.

Try Lion Brand and Barat website, also knitting daily.com...also do an internet search, and YoUTUBE.com, you should find many on-line...

You may want to also check your local library in their knitting books/videos/dvds

I have seen these patterns at lion brand yarns website, made a couple of them. they were easy to do, by the way patterns are free.
