Love the blanket. How do they make the edges so straight/nice and even?

Love the blanket. How do they make the edges so straight/nice and even?

My method for straight edges is to never do turning chains.
Some very smart KP member told me that a few years ago. Turning chains are not needed (unless they are somehow incorporated into the pattern as a decorative feature?).
Just make sure that after you turn, you put the next stitch into the very first chain of the row.
It works for me!
