I guess some would consider it almost sacrilegious, but I will occasionally combine run of the mill yarns with really luxury ones. Does anyone else do this/do you feel guilty?

I cast on another #6 Face & Neck Warmer (#6 Knit Neck & Face Hoodie Warmer pattern by Yuko Nagakura) right after finishing one that I thought turned out too big. I started this version holding the Barcelona acrylic yarn by itself, but it wasn’t as thick as the last bulky yarn I used. So I went searching through my stash & found a really nice hank of lace weight Fiber Company Meadow yarn. The colors look great together, so I figured, why not - it’s for me & I know I have to care for the hoodie neck warmer according to the Meadow yarn care instructions. Yes, I do it. And any cleaning is done to the specifications for the most delicate yarn.
as for feeling guilty, it’s just yarn, life’s too short to expend energy on guilt in a knitting project rhat im doing for enjoyment.
