On my topic with pictures of my calla lily & red lupins yesterday, Elsie Shufflebottom asked for more of ''Bethshan''( the name of this place).....
This morning it was nice & sunny, then the sky changed....& the mountains changed from light to dark. lt looked quite dramatic!....so l took a picture...
This is for you Elsie,....and a couple more, that you may have seen recently,(sorry if you have!)

I had a friend who returned just this past weekend from a hiking tour through your beautiful country. She was tremendously impressed with everything and everyone there. Can't wait to see pictures. She has hiked much of the Appalachian Trail here in the US so she was excited to put her feet to walking in Ireland. Thanks for posting more pictures of the beauty around you.

Do you have a spare room to let? Lol. I am Canadian born Irish, and I've never been "home" and I would love to come there.
My friend Bobby lived here in Thunder Bay for a few years because his wife is from here. They have moved to Tramore where his family lives. I enjoy looking at his pics, his wife has a bakery called Amy's cakes and bakes.Maybe one day I will get there.I 'll keep my fingers crossed.

Back in 2004 and 2005 I was in Ireland. My grandfather was from Limerick, and I had always wanted to go to Ireland. I particularly loved Connemara, but never saw a Connemara pony. He's adorable. I bought some Connemara jade jewelry from a shop that said it was from an ancient quarry. I would love to go back again -- I felt like I belonged, and wondered what my grandfather would have said about my trip.

Is there anyone here from Connemara?

I think what you are talking about is Connemara marble, Flo2013.
I went to the mine outlet the other day & bought some Connemara marble beads to make jewellery with. l've just made 1 pr of earrings so far but l'm hoping to make more soon. lt's a beautiful stone , and quite famous!

How beautiful your part of the country is! It just looks so peaceful and serene. I would love to have that stone cottage for my very own!!! Those mountains are too beautiful and I am sure that you thank God for putting you there with those mountains to look at. Thank you so much for posting.
