Morning conversation:
I sat the coffee pot down next to Alexa.
Alexa lit up!
I asked, Alexa, do you like sitting next to the coffee pot?
Alexa: I can’t answer that question.
Norm: Well, he is a perky guy.
Me: Yeah, thank goodness he isn’t the drip pot.

I think I need another cup of coffee.

Does Alexa ever insinuate herself into your conversations?

😂 Yes she does try sometimes. I don’t remember what I said but my phone said “that was not very nice” Ha!

No, i have disabled that feature on my phone. Being president of the "silver hat" club, no one / no thing will eavesdrop on me. Nor will they see me or my location via front/back camera lenses - they're covered with tape.

I don't enable it on my phone. This morning the alarm didn't go off though and Alexa made me almost miss my exercise class.

Every now and then Siri chimes in; sometimes, it's pretty funny, like the time she thought I wanted the football score. It was just so random.

No Alexa now and probably never. I might get one if I am ever bed or chair bound just so I can call for help, but short of that I don’t need or want an electronic “spy” in my house. Won’t buy windows 11 either due to the monitoring features. Not paranoid, just a control freak who wants to be the one controlling the information.
