Absolutely Stunning! And such an ambitious project! It looks like mosaic crochet is similar to tapestry or fair isle crochet. Is there a special technique? I'm very interested because I've been fooling around with Tapestry and Fair Isle and trying to soak up as much info as possible.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments . I came across Tinna's mosaic crocheting tutorials on You Tube. Her patterns are on Ravelry.
I really recommend watching and having a try. All you need are 2 colour contrasting yarns of the same weight and a hook. I watched a couple of tutorials then dived headlong into joining the "Queen CAL" and made the blanket. Enjoy, but be careful is very addictive!!.
