Thanks a lot Gypsy Cream, both my Daughter (Animal Lover) and I are addicted to your wonderful bears. Here's a sample of our work. Since this picture was taken, my daughter Susan has made 3 more little ones and just started on your puppy. We just can't get enough of your creativity. We each are planning to enter one of our bears in the knitting category at the Long Island Fair late September.

Anxiously waiting for your cat pattern.

Ahhh bless just look at all those bears and more to come, I have done a good job here I think lol! Addicts, I just love addicts.

Now here's a secret, I've mastered the cat face at last, but and here's the but, the cat wants to be a kitten. Its the same size as a 4 week kitten with a sweet innocent/surprised face, nothing to do with me it just designed itself, I'm as surprised as the kittie is!

I'm just doing some fine tuning and then test knitting and it should be ready next week.

I will work on a full grown cat I promise, but this kitten wanted to be, so is :)

Start thinking about what you will use for whiskers lol! Now I've bought some craft whiskers but all they are, are price tag barbs, you know those horrid plastic strips that hold price tags on clothes that rip your hand to pieces when you try to rip them off. Not exactly child friendly. So today I sourced some fishing line which is just nylon thread, I figure you could knot it a couple of times through a stitch of two and it should be safe. I'll give it a go and see what I think.

Gypsycream I used some nylon rope on a rabbit I made it worked good.I unraveled it and sewed it thru then tied it. Maybe you could try that it is a little stiffer than fishing line but not too stiff.

Years ago I dabbled in Paper tole and when I did a picture with lots of cats in it, I used our cats whiskers, no I did not pull them out lol!!! I used to find the whiskers around the house, goodness knows, how they fell out, never figured that out.

Wonderful work. I just love your bears and the thought of mother and daughter working together. I have two daughters who live near me, Thank God. They are too busy to work on projects at the present time. One daughter works with animals and people and the other owns a deli. Works six days a week plus taking care of Molly, Jay's sister and helping me. And I thought I was busy. I just finished my third Hug a Bear and have made one small one, pocket size. Haven't learned how to put up pictures yet but I sure do enjoy seeing yours. God Bless
