It is entirely possible that I shall receive a severe scolding for this. BUT my niece in Denver graduates college today after many many difficulties with mental illness. She has asked us all to simply do something we want to do to mark the occasion.

I woke up early, hobbled about, and managed to cut two low hanging branches off a tree. I then managed to scrabble up some soil (couldn't even pick the spade up lol) and piled lightweight compost which expands 5x when watered.

In went a two year old honeysuckle, which has been pruned back to about 4inches. It will now grow 6-8 feet this summer, up and around the tree.
I am naming it "Becky's Honeysuckle" and I hope her life will be as sweet as honey.

I'm useless at lying, so when my nurse arrives this afternoon, I'm in trouble lol

But I don't care because I did it

Where there's a will there is a way, I'm a bit like that. I do things and then pay the consequences. Good on you, and congratulations to your niece

A beautiful idea and if you do get a row, just come straight back with one of your usual retorts. Failing that, just stick your tongue out at nursie.
That's what my old mum does!

Congratulations to your niece btw
