This is one of four of my brimmed hats. I finished the trim, and have three more brimmed hats to put trim on.

Nicely done.
Lovely..
I tried wire from the hardware store. It did not work out so well. If I lay the wire or line end to end, do you think a piece of electrical tape enclosing the two ends would work? I can't find the little flat clips to secure the ends.
I really love your hat/pattern...such a clever idea. What about soldering the wire ends? (Just using a little hobby solder iron)
I just discovered something I am going to try, and it is heat shrinking tape or tubes. I can get both at my local Ace Hardware store. It may work better than the shrink tubes from the hat making places because I am not using that thin of wire. I want to see if it helps eliminate the bulge that regular tape makes.
How very elegant! :)
Stunning hat,do you make them to sell? I'd love one.
I just started making this type of hat, and haven't thought of selling them.
I am still in the "experimental" stage of connecting the wire or trimmer line to the brim.
I have no idea what it takes to ship anything out of the US. Can someone who does, please explain the procedure?

What a good looking hat. I think the Red Hat Society would love your creation. Has anyone heard about them lately ? For a while you could see those ladies all over town, but lately I have not see any Red-Hatters. Guess it was just a short lived trend.

Nope, Red-Hatters are still alive and well, at least in my area. I see them every now and then.
I'm a beader and I would use a crimp bead. Each end of the wire could be inserted into the same crimp and then secured with the crisper tool.
