Thank you for your kind words!

This is a medium weight worsted, #10 needles. I kinda amended the pattern, and here is what I did.

Cast on (I used the long tail method) 80 stitches.
Row 1 - k1, p1
Row 2 - increased by knitting in the front and back of every stitch.
Row 3 - purl
Row 4 - knit
Row 5 - purl
Row 6 - knit
Row 7 - purl

Repeat Row 2

Then repeat Rows 3 to 7

Then Repeat Row 2

Then repeat Rows 3 to 7

Next row - knit
Next row - purl (this is where I added the beads every 10th stitch

Bind off (knit).

When I put it on, I decided I would put a little crocheted chain loop for a bead (for closure), and a bead for the loop where it met the other side. I put these on where they closed naturally on me.

Beautiful scarf Claire. Thanks for sharing not only the picture but also how you made it. You did a fantastic job and I like the addition of the beads.

??? What size and type beads did you use?
??? The beads were knitted on right?

Besides wanting to make one for myself, I'd like to make some for gifts and the list of names in that catagory is growing longer as we speak! LOL!

???What is your next project?

Yes, the beads were knitted in, on the purl side. I don't know beads by size!! They had big holes, and I had different pastel colors! That was the criteria!

Thanks for your kind words! I am now working on two projects - a different style of ruffled scarf (different pattern), and at the same time doing a linked ring scarf. Both are red, but different types of yarn.
