My solution to remembering M1L vs M1R!

I use an acronym M1R = BFF is right..... no, not "best friend forever", but insert needle back to front and knit thru front loop of newly created loop
M1L = FBB .... insert needle front to back and knit thru back stitch of the newly created loop.

Mine is similar:
B Rt Back (Back to front = M1R)
Leave it by the Front door (Front to back = M1L)

I use the same two words to describe a right leaning cable (cn sts held in back).

Mine is not written down, but I do the left leaning on the right needle and the right leaning on the left needle. Of course that only makes sense to me, but it works!

Mine is M1R=R is for rear...pick up from the rear/back. This way I only have to remember one of them. Lol.

I remember by the direction the working needle points when entering the bar on the left needle. No notes necessary.
