I am trying to do a baby blanket pattern.
I will list the pattern. It might be easier that way.
C/O 132

Row 1: K2, *yo,k3, slip 3rd st on right needle over first 2 sts. Repeat from* to last st, k1.
Row 2: K2, P to last 2 sts, K2
Row 3: K1, *k3, Slip 3rd st on right needle over first 2 sts, yo, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2
Row 4: k2, P across, K2

These make the pattern. It seems simple enought UNTIL I read the Note attached to it, I am so lost now.. Please help.

NOTE: When working knit stitches from *, insert right needle as if to knit, but wrap yarn over and under right needle. For yo, wrap yarn over and under, instead of bringing it to the front..

they're giving you details to make the yo's which i would ignore....details of how to increase, decrease, yo, hem, co, bo, etc., are really for you to decide...i have never seen anything that requires you to do you yo's differently, the object is to get a small hole and an increased st at the same time.... how you get it is your concern... try a small swatch, 20 sts by 20 rows and do the pattern ignoring the weird yo instructions...if you like the way it looks, go back to your baby blanket and continue working...it a baby blanket....he or she will simply love it because it's soft and colorful and warm...
