Hi, My name is Rivkah and I live in Springfield, MO. I have been knitting for about 3 years and crocheting for about 10 years. Right now I'm more into crocheting than knitting and my favorite thing to do is to create patterns or tweak patterns that I have found elsewhere. My most recent original design was a baby sweater for a friend at my church. I also made her a bath scrubby which was not my original design, but I found a great way to improve an already cool pattern. I'm excited about the site and can't wait to meet some fellow yarn crafters.

Hi Rivkah
Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find everyone extremely helpful and friendly. Hope you enjoy your time here.

I knit and also crochet. Been crocheting for 40 years. I do the same thing as you, get a pattern and then tweak it for my liking.
Presently I do alot of baby/toddler outfits, etc. as I have two grandchildren one 2 1/2 months and one 2 years old.

Enjoy

The baby sweater pattern I designed is a crocheted version of a knit sweater that was featured in a Martha Stewart magazine. I say it was a version of it. What I actually did was take the way she made the pieces and put them together and decided to apply that to a crocheted sweater. It was lots of fun and it turned out really cute! Usually things that I make up like that don't really turn out, but lucky for me this one did!! :) Oh by the way thanks for the welcome Linda. I am enjoying the site alot!! :) Hope to talk to you some more.

Hi Rivkah,

I just joined the forum about a week ago. I live in Branson West, Mo. This is a great forum. The members have been very helpful. I started crocheting when I was 16 (I'm 43 now) and I started knitting 17 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. I made baby sweaters galore.
I love crocheting and knitting!!

Welcome!!
