The cleaners would be paying for damage, price of a family heirloom, etc: they (commercial cleaners) get away with too much, my ins co sent an antique quilt by accident to a cleaners.. needless to say both split the $$ on that one. no excuse for something like that to happen...

This will teach us all not to put so much faith in a dry cleaners when we need a heirloom cleaned. They have young, unknowing newbies just like anywhere else, and they, too, are understaffed. Better to try doing it yourself, Eucalan is very good!

I am finding that cleaners ruin a lot of things today as don't know the problem, but a friend of my daughter' bridal dress was completely ruined by the dry cleaners. It was returned in a box so when she opened it, the dress was completely melted. Guess since they wrapped it for the future, they thought she would not open the box. She cried for a week and really thought it was not her dress as parts did not look the same.

Does anyone think it is the solutions they are using today or just too much heat? Janeway

I'm sorry but you'll just have to wait. I have a few bugs to work out with this pattern but can't even start on that until I have finished my customer's order; coat, bonnet, booties and pilchers to match the shawl.
