Hi, I just signed on today and I'm looking forward to sharing news and ideas. I've been knitting for a couple of years but still a lot to learn. Looking for a shawl pattern but not lacy. Would like to use a yarn with a metalic fleck if possible.

I knit prayer shawls and have found lots there.

I don't know if you have a Hobby Lobby store in your area, but they have their own yarn that has a metalic filament twisted into it that knits up really nicely. It's a worsted weight, soft and very pretty. It comes in a number of solid colors with a metalic thread. I used a black with silver metalic to knit fingerless mittens, a hat and a shrug for my boyfriend's sister and they came out really nice. I wish I had thought to take pictures before I gave them away!
