I have been working on making a christening set for my new grandchild, she is about a month old but has real tiny feet, little over an inch & 1/2. I am trying to find a crochet pattern for baby booties, for a newborn, may have to be a preemie size, as her feet are so tiny! I have the gown & hat finished, but the pattern didn't come with a bootie pattern. Could someone out there help me with a pattern?

(((((((( I've got one, Marilyn; It's totally cute; Preemie, newborn and 6 mo sizes. It's easy to memorize and you will no doubt want to crochet two of each size if not six! Vary the colors, eh?

There's an alternative picot edge stitch provided on the pattern which was free and not copyrighted. I use the picot and sometimes the RSC edge stitch.

I'm making these now in Baby Bee's 50-50% cotton which is to die fore; They're so nice and stretchy to get on baby's feet, warm and the colors are so baried. It's abut a 4 weight no unlike WW, but it has no fuzzy nap as it's got the cotton in it. I'll never make another baby anything but in 50-50% cotton-acrylic (I think)! LOL!!

Thanks so much, was afraid she would outgrow the gown before I could find the bootie pattern! I have searched all night, but couldn't get into any of the sites, think the computer was acting up! I could find patterns, but not look at them, as computer would lock up on the sites!

Hi everyone, I have been making preemie items for a few years. If you want I am willing to e-mail you a copy of my pattern. It isn't one from any site, I have made a few patterns of my own out of neccesity. It's pretty simple and made in 2 pieces, sole first then ankle, instep and around to attach to the sole.
