Does anyone have a newsboy, aka cabbie hat pattern? Annie's Attic is advertising one for $6.99 + tax etc... a bit too steep for this deal. Hopefully, an angel on this forum come to my rescue

I saw one on Annie's Attic for $6.99 which may include the yarn ??? but I would rather use my own yarn and so I continue on my quest to find the Newsboy/Cabbie hat free pattern. When I find it, I will send it to you as well..

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! On the Berroco pattern, I would like to make the 'brim' bigger so it would stick out away from the face to protect the wearer from rain/snow/cold in New York - have u worked w/this pattern b4 or have an idea how to enlarge the brim w/out distorting the shape too much.

I haven't made either pattern. I was looking for one earlier and these were the ones I liked.

Here are two really cute pattern links - one crochet and one knit and two pdfs of a knit and crochet one.

I actually made the crochet one at favecrafts and it came out really good - and I am not an experienced crocheter. I hope this helps and good luck!

You can get some newsboy hats for free or for a minimal charge at Ravelry site. It is a knitting and crochet forum and this site is TERRIFIC. I have 90% of ALL my hat patterns, both knitting and crochet from this site alone! You might also try this site....Handknitting.com this site has patterns that are very affordable! You will LUV Ravelry.....and don't forge to check everyday for "newly added hats" (a drop down choice!)
