Hubby and I went to town today and stopped by Salvation Army on the way in. I went to the box with instruction books and I was fortunate enough to find 1 book of 60 miniature sayings for counted cross stitch, a book of crochet edgings by Dover, Crochet Designs book No. 33 by Anne Orr, Magic Crochet book No. 25 and a July 1995 Piecework magazine; all of these were 50 cents each!
I hate to brag but finding these old books really made my day! :)

I stop at Goodwill once in a while, but for some reason there is hardly ever any knitting supplies. I'm beginning to think that people in this town just don't knit - or they NEVER donate these supplies. We don't think we have a Salvation Army store in town ... whine, whine, whine ... LOL

I wish that we had a Goodwill close to us, but all we have is 1 Salvation Army store and 1 store a local church runs. Neither one seems to get much more than acrylic yarn. Usually when they get the good stuff I have no money.
