I've already been posting (well, replying is more like it) for a few days, so I guess I ought to say hello! I am THE original neednap (since 1993) and boy does the name fit...I have fibromyalgia but no longer have to work, on disability for that and other assorted things, so am able to use what energy I have knitting, crocheting, gardening, painting, caring for the critters...gee, sounds like I do a lot, but actually only a little here and there, one thing at a time, as I spend too much time on the computer! That's about to change, though, as the heat lets up. Once it gets over 90 degrees I'm toast. Also lost my husband a month ago so will be doing more to help the healing. The numbness is wearing off and I'm able to grieve, and the knitting is calming and gives me time to reflect on the 25 years we had together.
I've been knitting since I was 7 (just turned 60), crocheting almost that long. I enjoy crocheted and beaded snowflakes on fine thread. I love knitting socks, my latest obsession. I've got a dog sweater and a pullover for me on the needles (oh, and a couple pairs of socks too). Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to. :-D
