I am doing this scarf..www.craftsy.com/project/view/Lopi_scarf.After the decrease and increase rows it says to knit 10 rows in stocking st...do I start Row 1 with a knit or do I do a purl being the previous row was a knit??? I am thinking part of the scarf on right side is knit and then next section is purl.....I am a bit confused... I have completed the first 4 rows...just does not look right.Help or suggestions appreciated.

It would depend on whether you are starting on a rightside row or a wrongside row, rightside/knit, wrongside/purl.

From the picture, the pattern seems to alternate groupings of knit and purl. Therefore, I would start each 10-row pattern with a knit.
