It's filet, so most of it should be charted. While you wouldn't have row-by-row directions, the solid motifs would transfer to intarsia or whatever stitches you could imagine to substitute.

Maybe some of the other members will comment and can explain it better than I have.

anything on a chart can be knitted, crocheted, needlepoint, filet, latch hook, etc with vary little variation. one square one stitich. of course knit and crochet stitches are not actually square so the picture is a trifle skewed but not unrecognisable. for a solid colour (like dishcloths) knit or purl for the different pattern bits.
