Personally, I don't know what to do with it. One Utube video was making a dog leash. Maybe make another shopping bag (LOL). I think that is a lot of creativity working with this toxic waster, but I would just as soon give back to the industry that made it and have them figure out what to do with all that plastic.

If the industry can incorporate the product into a park bench it would hold up so much better than if I knitted a park bench. Just sayin'...

Good morning everyone -

I have not used "plarn" yet - just learned about it awhile back. I have just found some patterns to use it with through this forum though. If you go to the top of the forum page and click on the search button - enter: plarn - it will bring up recent posts that include leads to patterns etc. A search on the internet is a good idea too.

Enjoy!

I made a lot of school bags for missions in 3 world country. I used plastic bags from different stores and they turned out adorable with different color of bags from different stores, was fun to make and the kids loved them..

i was fasinated by this new word. i blogged the ladies and they showed me how to make the yarn. i crocheted a round bag with handles. my husband thought i was crazy until it was completed. now we have a bag for the pool or beach that we can put wet items in. we do not have to hang the bag to dry out. we can also wash it with the hose. i used only white bags and frequently the store logo gives it a little color. lol

Some stores have blue bags. Dollar store has yellow with black writting. At christmas I got red bags and green ones too. The different colors are very pretty in the bags. I loved doing them for the missions in 3rd world country. Was sooo much fun seeing them we they were finished and thinking how the little kids would love their new school bags.
