Here are some photos to show how I made my Bright & Bold fair isle sweater posted earlier today.
The sixteen colors were paired into eight sets of light and dark. Each set was used dark with light, then reversed to light with dark. The stitch pattern is a simple four stitch repeat for eleven rows, then offset for the next pair of colors.

Wonderful sweater, wonderful knitting, wonderful pictures. I like the simple pattern and the way you reversed the colors for added impact. Thanks for posting this as I will bookmark it for the wonderful pictures. I am just finishing my first steek project to be completed--I’ve done practice pieces-- but don’t like the inside and don’t know what to do about it. Now I know how to finish the neckline with a facing, but what to do with the sleeves or front bands in a cardigan.

Gorgeous!!! Was your reinforcing done on a machine or by hand???
The reinforcing was done by hand with a crochet hook. The yarn is held over the left forefinger under the work, while the hook pulls through a loop to the top side to form the chain stitch. This chain stitching locks the knitted stitches so that they do not unravel.

Thank you. I want to try this but do not have a zig zag machine, which is what I was told was necessary. Now I see it can be done by hand. Thank you for the info BTW. Your projects are absolutely marvelous!!!
