Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and would like some help finding free knitting patterns for babies, toddlers and childrens sweaters that have pictures knitted in the front. Im looking for farm animals, zoo animals, cars, tricks, tractors, etc for boys and fairies, flowers, animals etc for girls. Im a nurse and about to start a very long stint of night shift and hope to get a lot of knitting done for my grandys. I will be using pure Australian wool in 4ply and 8 ply. .......then add your specs for sizes, farm animals, zoo animals, cars, tricks......wait..........trucks? I was typing what you wrote. LOL!!
If it were me, I'd hit picture knitting first in your url search engine of choice and see what the draw is.
You might see all sorts of sources and perhaps want to buy a good book for the future. Ebay.com represents the world and would be one source, perhaps and Amazon.com. You might check knittingpatterncentral.com, too.

I'm up late running a nursery for our two kids (Boer goats). LOL!! Just making sure they're warm, nursing, etc. Beautiful animals, too. Hubby has 38 (dis)pleasure animals here on the acreage and dordn't remember when he lost control of his hobby; I do, though and it was in 1988! LOL!! I gave him the male and female for Christmas last year. What's one more animal? LOL!!
The male is named T-Bone so we re-named the female She-Bone! (
You use the 24 hours clock, eh? It's 0dark30 here (military joke). LOL!! One should have it done by 0900 hrs, too they say!!
Have fun with the jumper conversion!! Let us know how it goes, also!
I'm a bunch of crafts groups, too; Mainly knitting and crocheting. It's time for the mystery yarn ball swap! It's a stitch! Mystery ball seems to have two definitions while surfing.
You're hubby's a policman, eh; Detective?
Mine's an electrical engineer, semi-retired after 34 years with Rockwell Collins; Iowa. He got a call back after 18 months for a six-month contract job designing updates in private jets and working with the Japanese via tele-con. The job's about finished, too and he's training his replacement as they'll go on without him.
He hasn't mentioned if the earthquake/tsunami affected their area in Japan so I'm assuming they're OK.
Our town is 333 people but they have several goodies down therre like the cafe.

I found quite a few of the intarsia patterns on Ravelry.com. You can also google free intarsia knitting patterns for babies. Another way to search is to google baby sweater patterns with motifs in them. I've had success with googling for intarsia patterns this way.
