Has anyone of you, nice ladies, ever crochet the DYNAMIC TABLECLOTH by Josie Rabier? (The pattern comes from Hooked on Crochet May/June 2000.)
It is a beautiful tablecloth, the instructions are not easy, but I managed to figure it out.
Now I have a problem. I can't figure out the EDGING.
It looks fairly easy, but the explanation is very difficult to understand.
Could somebody help me please?
I would like to thank you in advance.

Picture and pattern instructions would be a good aide to solving the problem.

Tried to get picture on Google - no luck. Nor n Ravelry who have quite a few of her designs. The magazine was a no-go as well. Over to you for the pictorial aids.

This is in regards to the Dynamic Tablecloth. I have the instructions of the edging and a picture of the tablecloth, but I don't know how to send it. Please help me.

Okay ... here's a thought harbin. Do you have a printer with a scan facility or can you access one? You could then scan the instructions and the picture and post the scan on here.

If you cannot do it, maybe you could ask someone, at home or maybe in an internet cafe or, if your public library has computer access (some of ours here in the UK do) they could help you.

It really would help if we could see the instructions and the picture of the table cloth.

I will ask my grandson, as soon as I see him, to scan my two items, but what do I do then? Where do the GIF, JPG, BMP or PNG come in? I am totally new at this. Thank you in advance.

GIF, JPG, BMP or PNG are merely file extentions. They indicate the formats in which images are written by the computer program. When your grandson scans the image he will be given an option of how to store the images.

Once he has scanned the images, ask him to store them on your desktop. Then, when you are ready, just post on here, just like you did today and add the image to your post. Maybe he could help with that as well.

If he can't do it ... I can talk you through it if needs be.

Oops, I forgot to add ... please ask your grandson to give the images a name you can recognise, something like edginginstructions.jpg or tableclothimage.pgn

My grandson was able to rotate the instructions. Maybe you can do the same, and it will help you with the reading.

You asked me where I am stuck? I am stuck right at the beginning of the edging. I tried it several ways, but it did not look like the photo at all. I tried to do it two different ways.

I joined with sl st before a corner of the Large Motif. I chained 7, (tr cl, - tr cl, at the top of the page says that I have to yo 2 times, insert hook in next st, yo, draw lp through, (yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) 2 times*; then 3 more times, later 4 more times, and then draw through all 9 lps on hook, ch 1.
When I crochet all this, I get something totally different.

and that looked different again. I am really at a loss.

I am totally lost this time. Do you think that you can help me? I would appreciate it very much; I would like to thank you in advance.

I've got some crocheting yarn and I will try and replicate it ... give me a while though. It is now an hour past the witching one for me here in the UK.

Mimsey

This is in regards to the Dynamic Tablecloth.

I was very lucky, a lady at my Club 50 was able to figure out the pattern for the edging. She showed me how to crochet it, and I was surprised to see how easy the pattern is.

When I tried to work on the edging, the first part was correct, but later I got lost. Now I can finish my tablecloth.

P.S. Thank you so much for wanting to help me. I appreciate it very much.
