I didn't realize you had actually made the tea cozy. What lovely work and a bit time consuming, I'm thinking.

Thank you, Grace. It was time-consuming but I'd wanted a tea cosy 'forever' and finally got around to making it. Actually, it's the first thing I ever did for me, except for bookmarks and potholders, so I decided time wasn't the issue - just wanted a cute tea cosy - and I'm thoroughly enjoying it...having a cuppa right now. Good for you! It isn't selfish to do something 'just for me' occasionally. You did a great job. You must now make yourself a mug cozy and a mug mat! My mom was fond of the popcorn stitch. I like iced tea and hot coffee, but I also love hot tea and iced coffee. I have never had a large tea pot like yours but I love them. ~ Grace

Thanks for the encouragement - but what's a mug mat? Like you, I like tea/coffee both hot/cold - depending upon the weather and my mood...

Elaine, a mug mat is just a coaster. You may not want to use the popcorn st for it though. I really was just being facetious - maybe I should cut the corn - LOL. But lots of us actually do love to use cozies and coasters which are really easy and cute as well as useful. ~ Grace

Good thing my family is grown and gone, which leaves time for knitting/crocheting and this site! Of course, that doesn't mean I cook :!: After all, if I cooked, I'd have to have time to clean the kitchen :roll: Soup almost has become my staple meal cuz I just don't have time to create food as well as sweaters, socks, etc. Can't be all bad, can it :?: At least, now I know I'm not the only one! :lol:
