I recently made this prayer shawl for a friends mother was sick with liver cancer. The friend is our local girl scout leader, and her mother had been the prior leader for over 30 years. I'm told she really loved the shawl, and wore it constantly. I was saddened to hear that she passed away 4 days later, but I'm glad I was able to offer her some form of comfort in her last days.

I have a niece with liver cancer and I wonder if she would find comfort from one of these. I think I could make one if the pattern is clear enough.
