I would like to use up some stash by making a child's sweater with all DK yarn; however, some of the yarn is sirdar snuggly DK which is 55% nylon and 45% and the rest of the yarn is sirdar Country Style DK which is 45% acrylic, 40% nylon, and 15% wool. They both have the same washing instructions. Would it be a problem if I used two different type yarns in the same project?

I think it would be fine as long as the Snuggly does not look a little finer than the country style when knitted up. I feel Snuggly is quite a "thin" DK.
The washing should be fine since they have the same instructions. If it is a striped project do a small part and decide if you like the look.

Same washing instructions so it will work. Some minor issues to consider is dyes running and pilling from one to the other.

I often use yarns that're made of different materials in my projects. As long as I hand wash them in cold water and let them dry flat, I haven't had any problems. It's fun to mix and match.

I think I would make a swatch using both yarns and wash & dry it to make sure they play well together.
