A good friend is a HUGE Cowboy's fan and I want to make him a scarf but not being familiar with sports didn't realize that the Team yarns are navy/white or navy/grey and apparently the Cowboy colors are Navy and Silver. For those who are Cowboy's fans and familiar with the yarn, would the Navy/Grey work or do I just need to find 2 skeins - one navy and one silver and if so who makes a nice silver that isn't all shimmery?

I think the Navy and Gray would be close enough for a fan. I want to make a scarf or hat for me to wear to high school football games..I have two kids in Marching band but the colors are red and white and the team spirit yarn does not come in red and White...burgandy and white but not red...and the red of our school is red red. unfortunately for me the burgandy won't work but for you the gray would

my youngest son's favorite team......the colors in the dallas cowboys uniforms are : Royal Blue, Silver, Metallic Silver Blue, Navy, and White ...

I knitted a stocking for my some in Dallas colors last Christmas....use bulky yarn and used Navy and grey (for the silver)....Now my son is a diehard Cowboy fan and this passed his review....he loved it and told me how special I was for going to all the trouble of matching the color....

My son-in-law, the traitor of the Rwdaskins is getting mavy and gray, he will will love it or he won't tell me! Seriously, he already has a sweater from me with the correct coloring so he is happy with anything!

I use a light gray, next to the blue, it looks more like silver

I think you could easily do stripes with your team's favorite colors. Match it up as well as you can. Here's my baby girl Green Bay Packers hat I just finished yesterday for a baby gift.
