I got the Marianna's all-in-one top down pattern that so many of you have made so beautifully. My question is how much yarn does it take? I'm either making 1-3 or 4-6yrs. I have some Bernat jacquard yarn but would like to make sure I have enough. It is yarn I bought over a year ago, so I wouldn't be able to match dye lot if I don't have enough. Just hoping one of you can answer my question as pattern doesn't specify the amount needed. Thank you for any help you can provide.

If there is a gauge in the pattern then knit a sample and then frog and measure.

Hi. I just finished a1-3 year one and think it only took about 100grms, but I did use 2 colours... I just weighed it and it was 117 grms with the buttons on. I did make it longer than pattern under arm to bottom is 11inches. Hope this helps

I have just finished one, size 1-3 in 8 ply/DK Target Aztec yarn on 4mm circular needle. I used just on 100g. Yarn from my stash - the price on it is $1.09 for 50g not something you'd find now!
I am not a tight knitter

I've also just finished the smallest size using approx. 45/50g of 8ply baby yarn.

I'm not at home at the moment but will post some pictures when we get home.

Hope this helps - maybe others have different experiences with this pattern. Loved making them and will make more in different sizes.

These are equally cute using more than one color. So, if you don't think you will have enough of one color, experiment. I have made several.
