Raglan Sweater Wheel that was out in 1969

Helen4 here. I am looking for a Raglan Sweater Wheel that was out in 1969. I had one and used it alot. For some reason it is no where to be found in all my knitting things.

If anyone has one that they don't use or know where I can find one I would appreciate it.

Please send me a message.

reading this makes me feel really old . . . i own both the raglan and set in wheels and still use them. never realized that they would become collector's items! LOL

Information on the envelope, if you are not sure, is Bea Freeman Enterprises, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. The raglan Pat. No. is 221224. The set-in sleeve version doesn't have a number on it, only says patent pending. hope this helps.

I have written to Ms. Freeman in PA to see if she knows where I can get one. I used to have the raglan sweater wheel, but over the years I can't find it. Hopefully Ms. Freeman will be able to help me.

Make sure you keep yours they are worth alot.

I own the set in sleeve wheel also. However, mine has a patent # D221224 - 1969 - Bea Freeman.
I will be honest I have never used it.........and have had it in the bottom of my carry case for years.

Thanks for cupboard cooking' reference to a site for a raglan pattern. Last time I made something without a pattern, I asked my husband or stop me if I ever tried it again -- or shoot me if all else failed. He filed for divorce about a year and a half ago and moved out so now I have no one to stop me and I was going to do it again. With these directions, I'm not on my own and will try that yarn I bought a few years ago. I seem to be able to alter patterns by changing yarn, gauge, needle size and even substituting cables but designing from scratch was hard last time. The sweater came out pretty but heavy and the process was not fun.

Helen, at least there is a place to go!! I know, I hate to give up my old tools. Sorry I couldn't help further.
