I have knit an outfit for my granddaughter to wear to my son's rehearsal dinner in two weeks. The patterns were the girly tuxedo dress (http://www.favecrafts.com/Knitting-for-Baby/Girly-Tuxedo-Dress-from-Caron); ruffled legwarmers (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruffled-leg-warmers) and the armwarmers were called sleevies (http://findyourknitch.wordpress.com/2012/05/13/sleevies/).
I also knit three sizes of the lil tuxedo sweaters (http://jaslamb.weebly.com/lil-tux-for-baby.html) for my grandsons. I really struggled with the one that had to be larger than the choices given in the pattern.
I sent off the sweaters without taking photos so the boys could try them on for size. I was thrilled that my two daughters thought they fit fine. Hopefully, I'll have a photo to post later of all four of the kids decked out at the actual dinner.
I used Plymouth Encore yarn and it held up pretty well to all the frogging.

That is both beautiful and unique. I love it! I hope you do manage to get a picture of everyone dressed up in your lovely knits. What a relief it must have been when everything fit!

Thanks too for your helpful post with the patterns and everything - inspiring and helpful. Congratulations on your son's upcoming wedding!

Can't wait to see them all decked out in the outfits. The little girls dress and accessories are so cute.

Thanks for the compliments and good wishes. We are meeting up with our daughter and family this weekend so my GD can have a last fitting. The wedding is the week after that. I hope I am really done with the outfit.
