Yes they are beautiful .but they make me sad 'cause I think they are more beautiful in the wild! I'm not saying anything against Ringling Bros. but there is something about those majestic beasts jumping on hind legs that just ain't right.

Do you know how cruelly they train their animals? I'm gobsmacked that anyone would attend their circus of cruelty.

They take BABY elephants and TORTURE them and call it training. Last year a baby elephant died - two broken legs due to "a rigorous training session". Tehy use ropes and elecric shock treatment as well as keeping them in the dark alone when not being "trained".

Horrific. I simply cannot believe that the lovely, kind and caring ladies on here would actually support this cruelty.

If you think I'm over reacting, or don't believe me, check the P.E.T.A website.

I agree totally. I recently read an article on how they train these beautiful animals (by the way, Sea World is worse)! I haven't been to a circus since my son was a child, and he's 42 yrs. old!! I feel anything that captures and keeps wild animals for human "enjoyment" SUCKS! I am not some animal rights nut, I just love nimals.

I love the circus, always have, always will. Don't dismantle the whole circus world because of some bad apples. Most care for their animals as well as the household dog and cat. I worry more about dog fighting, cock fighting, bull fighting, etc. All of those end in death, every time.

We are adults here, life is not, never has been pristine and wonderful. Could very well be, the child living next door to you is being beaten daily or a wife is being shoved around the house, battered and bruised. Most of us would love to see that curtailed poste haste, but it's forever in our midst. And all of the above are world wide happening.

I don't think the whole circus world needs to be dismantled, just remove all animal acts from them. I have a good friend who is a very vociferous animal advocate and she has opened my eyes to the cruelty in the world against animals, used for our own entertainment. For years circuses have been condemned for poor treatment of their animals....I wonder why?

I agree, life will never be pristine, but if we can make a stand against any form of cruelty, shouldn't we? We can't just say that this is happening, it always will so get over it. If you knew a child or women or animal was being abused, wouldn't you try and do something? I know I would. Just because it is "forever in our midst" doesn't mean we should ignore it.

Unfortunately, no, most circuses, esp. Ringling Bros, torture their animals and call it "training."

Yes, life is hard, and there are horrible things going on everywhere. But I do not pay to see the results of the child who is beaten daily, and I encourage everyone not to pay to see the results of animals who are tortured daily.

I know myself the animals are treated very poorly. The cats for instance are beautiful animals and should be in their own environment. I love cats too and just came across the video.
Alot of times animals can't be returned to the wild and then they are kept in zoos etc.

I totally agree, these cats are beautiful creatures but should be in their native habitat. Perhaps these tigers have been bred spe ifically with the circus in mind, and consequently they wouldn't survive in the wild (just a thought).
